🪬 HumanAI #003 – Adapt or Be Replaced: Are You Safe?

The Dawn of HumanAI

AI is inevitable. It’s happening.
Betting against evolution and progress is usually a bad decision.
So, we embrace it and use it to our advantage.
But we’ll always remember who we are—
HUMANS.

Lucas ā€œMenchoā€ Menzano

Hey!

Welcome to HumanAI, a newsletter for entrepreneurs, business owners, and decision-makers who want to think bigger, move faster, and unlock AI’s full potential—without the learning curve.

Alright! I’m moving homes next Monday… unfortunately, AI isn’t much help when it comes to packing. The future might be both daunting and exciting, but I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to the day I have an extra pair of robot arms to help me put away everything!!

Wish me luck.

Let’s start.

AI isn’t replacing jobs—it’s replacing skills.

And right now, the world is splitting in two.

We’re entering what is called a K-Shaped Economy.

Look at this graph I saw the other day on X:

The Top 20% → Their skills become 10x more valuable with AI.
āœ… They use AI to amplify their work, not replace themselves.
āœ… They automate low-level tasks to focus on high-value work.
āœ… They don’t compete with AI—they lead it.

The Bottom 80% → Their skills plummet to zero.
āŒ They ignore AI or resist it.
āŒ Their tasks become easily automated—and someone else decides to replace them.
āŒ They keep working the old way… until there’s no work left.

This isn’t the future.
This is already happening.

Which side of the "K" are you on?

In fact… the goal of this newsletter is to help you be on the winning -or ā€œsurvivingā€- side.

🧠 HUMAN INSPIRATION:
The Day 90% of Jobs Disappeared Overnight

Imagine it’s the late 1800s.

You work in horse transport—maybe as a stable owner, a blacksmith, or a carriage maker.

For centuries, horses powered the economy.
They moved people, transported goods, and built entire industries.

Then, something strange starts happening.

A new invention appears.
It’s loud. It smells like burning fuel.

People laugh at it.
They call it a rich man’s toy.

But within 20 years…

  • 90% of all horse-related jobs vanished.

  • Cities transformed. Roads changed. Economies shifted.

  • And those who didn’t adapt? Left behind.

That invention? The car.

The people who saw the change early?
They stopped fixing horseshoes and started building gas stations.

The K-Shaped Economy has happened before.

Every major shift in history creates two types of people:

  • The top 20% who adapt and thrive.

  • The bottom 80% who resist and stay behind.

We saw it with:

  • The Industrial Revolution → Factories replaced craft workers.

  • The Internet Boom → Digital replaced a lot of physical stores.

  • The AI Revolution → AI is replacing repetitive knowledge work.

So, as I said earlier… The future isn’t about jobs—it’s about skills.

⚔ AI REAL-LIFE USE:
How to Upgrade Your Skills Before AI Replaces Them

Most people don’t realize which skills are dying and which ones are exploding in value.

Some people will see their skills become 10x more valuable.
Others will see their skills become worthless overnight.

So how do you make sure you’re in the top 20%?

You train AI to analyze your own skillset and show you where you’re at risk.

Here’s how:

šŸ”¹ Step 1: Let AI Analyze Your Skillset

Before you improve your skills, you need to know where you stand.

šŸ“Œ Use this prompt to get AI to analyze your skills:

"I want to future-proof my career. Analyze my skillset: [list your skills or upload your CV or give it your Linkedin Profile link]. Categorize them into three groups:—'AI-proof' (high-value, hard to automate), 'AI-boosted' (can be enhanced by AI), and 'AI-replaceable' (at risk of being automated). Then, tell me what new skills I should learn to stay ahead."

I tested this on my own skillset and immediately saw which areas I needed to double down on—and which ones AI was already catching up to.

My ChatGPT career consultant suggested exactly what I’m doing with this newsletter!

If AI thinks your skill is at risk, believe it.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
If you’re not sure where you stand—or, more importantly, where you should be focusing—I’m opening two 1-on-1 coaching spots for the next month.
This isn’t just about learning AI. It’s about applying it in a way that actually changes the game for you.
If you want to cut through the noise, identify your high-impact AI strategy, and future-proof your skillset, let’s talk.
Reply to this email, and let’s see if we’re a good fit to work together..

šŸ”¹ Step 2: Use AI to Upgrade Your Skills Faster

Once you know where you stand, the next move is simple:

  • Double down on AI-proof skills.

  • Boost AI-enhanced skills.

  • Drop or adapt AI-replaceable skills.

šŸ“Œ Use this prompt to train AI to upskill you:

"Act as an expert mentor in [your field]. Design a structured learning roadmap for me to upgrade my skills in a way that maximizes my earning potential in an AI-driven world. Include books, courses, case studies, and practical exercises."

AI can custom-build a learning path for you instead of wasting time on random online courses.

I do this every time I feel like I’m falling behind in a certain area—I let AI build my study plan, then I execute it.

Pro tip: I ask for short, no-BS, no fluff trainings, focusing on the 20% of the topic that can yield the biggest results.

šŸ”¹ Step 3: Automate the Boring Stuff & Focus on High-Value Work

The biggest mistake people make?

They waste time on tasks AI should be doing for them.

If AI can do it 80% as well as you, outsource it.
If AI can make you 10x faster, use it.
If AI isn’t good at something, master it.

šŸ“Œ Use this prompt to optimize your workflow:

"Analyze my daily work tasks. Tell me which ones AI can automate, which ones AI can assist with, and which ones I should focus on developing because AI isn't good at them yet."

I did this with my own workflow and freed up hours of time by eliminating tasks that AI could do for me.

AI won’t replace you—unless you refuse to use it.

šŸš€ FOR THE BOLD ONES…
THE HUMAN-AI DECISION PARADOX

Prompt for DALL -E: Create an image about the shift from AI assistance to AI control in human decision-making

We are stepping into a world where AI makes more decisions than we do.

At first, it’s helpful.

  • AI suggests the best route when you drive.

  • AI recommends what to watch when you open Netflix.

  • AI autocompletes your emails, your texts, even your thoughts.

But then something strange happens…

The more AI decides for us, the worse we get at deciding.

I noticed this firsthand.

My wife and I recently changed our phone numbers when we moved countries.
The other day, my phone battery died, and a friend offered his phone so I could call her.

And I realized—I couldn’t remember her number.

Not just hers. I didn’t know anyone’s number.

When I was younger, I knew dozens of numbers by heart.
Now? Zero. (well… one, my own number)

Because my brain outsourced that skill to technology.

Technology is making thinking optional.

GPS killed our ability to navigate.
Calculators ruined mental math.
Google made memorization unnecessary.

And now?

AI is making critical thinking optional.

Some people will use AI to become hyper-intelligent.
Others will outsource their thinking entirely—and get dumber.

This is what I call the Human-AI Decision Paradox:

AI should be your co-pilot, not your autopilot.
AI should help you analyze, create, and expand your perspective—not replace it.
AI should make you smarter, not dependent.

The future belongs to those who can think with AI, not because of it.

Final Thoughts

If you want to be in the top 20%, now is the time to:

  • Audit your skills and see if they’re at risk.

  • Use AI to accelerate your learning.

  • Automate low-value tasks so you focus on what matters.

Use AI. Train AI. Master AI. But never stop thinking for yourself.

Now, which side of the K-shaped economy are you choosing?

That’s a wrap for today!

Hey!! I’ve been truly enjoying your messages of support, questions and feedback.

Like Richard with who I spoke about creating a data dashboard for the tourism industry.

Or Tiziana, who mentioned that at her job they say they embrace AI, but in reality they really don’t (many companies ticking boxes huh?).

KEEP ā€˜EM COMING!

Anyway, thanks for being here!

See you in the next edition.

Stay active, stay sharp.

P.S. This email was written by Human Mencho with the help of AI. Kinda cool if you think about

Before you go…

For years, I’ve been having mind-blowing conversations with Gus Balbontin. Every time we talked, I kept thinking, "More people need to hear this."

So I pushed him. Hard.

First, we launched his newsletter (over 6000 people receive it weekly!).
Then came our first Career Rebellion workshop.
And every step of the way, the same thing happened—people kept asking for more. More tools, more guidance, more community.

So we built it. Life Shake Up.
The program I wished existed. The one I needed.

A space for people like us—people who refuse to live on autopilot, who want to shake things up, challenge the norm, and actually design a life that excites them.

If this resonates, come join us.
